THE OCEAN & US

The ocean sparkled and glittered, calming waves flowing to and fro.

The sand was cold but nice under our feet, a slight breeze in the evening.

Falling sun in the sky surrounded by pink hues

Where we married, basically just us two.

Tuxedo and lace gown,

Nothing too fancy, imperfectness bonding us together. ❤

TRACING LOVE

Love has strung together days, moments of

happiness for me.

Years went by without much of anything–

until we met.

Smiles, laughter, adventure, the newness of a newfound love.

I trace the days of “us” in your smile.

PART 2 – THE CRAZY THING – A SHORT STORY

Part 1

Jane and Adrian settle into their own seats at the back of the bus, which were uncomfortably close for strangers – this is what they thought for now, anyway. They were strangers. They weren’t aware that soon they would be inseparable.

Jane pulled a book from her bag and slid the bookmark out of it, trying to remember which paragraph she left off on. As she skimmed the page, Adrian pulled a book out of his jacket pocket.

“Hey, I’m Adrian. Just wanted to introduce myself before you got lost in reading.” The man said.

Jane was startled. For all she knew, the man was perfectly fine with staring out the window, ignoring her. Continue reading “PART 2 – THE CRAZY THING – A SHORT STORY”

PART 1 – THE CRAZY THING – A SHORT STORY

The crazy thing about November was that it had gone by just as quickly as October…

But it had changed everything.

How your world can change – turn upside down, for better or worse – in the matter of a month, or even a minute…

And Adrian had just that affect on Jane.

The first time Jane saw Adrian, she knew her life would be different.

There he was, there they were – waiting for the bus together. Continue reading “PART 1 – THE CRAZY THING – A SHORT STORY”
