โ€œThree things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.โ€

I think every single one of us has had a not-so-pleasant experience, particularly in the customer service area – anything in the public, really.

Maybe they’re having a bad day, or you did the thing that annoys them the most – who knows? It’s understandable that they won’t be perfectly chipper each and every time they deal with somebody, they’re doing it all day long. Continue reading “BEING NICE”

Try to listen to the people speaking to you.

Truly tune in to their words, their movements, their mannerisms.

Delve into the conversation by listening to each syllable of theirs.

Don’t think too much…

Respond naturally, not harping on what you’ll say when they pause.

Be there for them when they need you, and try to notice the signs when they do.

Breathe, listen, and be in the moment.

So, I stumbled upon the following quote while searching quotes (one of my favorite things to do!) I found it incredibly inspiring, especially for someone like me who struggles with the most basic stuff. As long as you put in time every day to your work and passions, you’ll succeed in some way or another. I think keeping your expectations on the lower side helps, as well. If you over achieve, then you have something to be ecstatic about. ๐Ÿ˜€

“To be a champion, I think you have to see the big picture. It’s not about winning and losing; it’s about every day hard work and about thriving on a challenge. It’s about embracing the pain that you’ll experience at the end of a race and not being afraid. I think people think too hard and get afraid of a certain challenge.”

I feel like everyone is short on time; there’s only 24 hours in the day. Around 8 of them are already allotted for sleeping and then other portions are taken throughout the day for necessary stuff like eating and bathroom breaks.

What do you do with the extra time?

What do you do when you’re waiting in line? Continue reading “WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR TIME?”

Love the morning greeting you receive when you wake up with birds chirping peacefully, when you peek out your window and see the sky slowly changing colors.

Enjoy the breakfast you eat, and the way it nourishes your soul and body.

Start with positive thoughts and goals you wish to achieve.

Think about your dreams, and the steps you’ll take to reach them.

Appreciate the amazing moments, the moments that make you smile or laugh out loud. Continue reading “LIVE SIMPLY. DREAM BIG. LOVE LOTS.”

(As a note, I tried for ages to think of the right word for the title that I had in mind earlier… I thought it began with F like ‘Fuel’ and ‘Forward’, so I gave up and replaced it with ‘It’! Tired mind, indeed.)

Sympathy goes a long way. Understanding, even further.

I’ve encountered lack of understanding quite often throughout my times of struggle. I get it, most people can’t relate to being unable to live normally, unable to work. I completely get that.

That being said, sometimes (okay, all the time) it really brings me down and leaves me in a bad mood, and negativity isn’t productive, so it’s simply just a bad cycle (and definitely doesn’t help my motivation.)

When you’re feeling discouraged or unsupported, try to let your own passion fuel your drive to move forward in bettering and progressing your craft. Continue reading “LET IT FUEL YOU FORWARD, NOT BRING YOU DOWN”
